WHERE'S WALDO???
That's what these pictures remind me of. That's what standing in the middle of this mess reminds me of too, actually. I haven't really used this room since I went on the night shift last March and it's just sort of become a junk-magnet. When I come across something that's in my way or doesn't have a real "home," it ends up in this room. My beloved studio. Where I keep all my "stuff" that makes me feel creative and comfortable and unique. My very own little corner of the world where no one else trespasses, unless of course they are going to the attic. That explains why there is always at least a path through the room...
I spent the majority of New Year's Day organizing and cleaning this room and with any luck I will find time before February to finish it. And if you can all persuade me to get my ass off this computer, maybe I can get some actual artwork started and feel like a real human being for a change.
Right now I am going to go for a little walk around the house and check out that big bright Moon and then turn in. I'm whooped. One day this week I'd planned to post a list of my favorite cds of the year but probably won't post it since nobody knows anybody I listen to...

Walking around the house and looking at the moon!? Avoidance tactic # please. I need to add that one to my ever growing list!
Natalie
Nobody knows what you listen to? Well I think we've all heard of the Replacements and I am pretty sure you mentioned Collective Soul at one time so I know at least two of them!
So what you're saying is, your studio is kinda like the Island of Misfit Toys...
I was thinking a similar thought to Simon's. I was trying to figure out if the two bottom pics where afters...and if so, what changed. I was quite disappointed in the lack of improvement.
Also, Wink, just cuz we don't know half the bands you list...doesn't mean we don't have fun finding the one or two we do from the list. It's like a Where's Waldo game of its own. Plus, when these bands get huge next year...you'll have proof you were they first ;)
Let Albert Einstein out of that bag!
The Replacements and Collective Soul? I haven't heard you mention those, but those are great choices.
I agree with MG. Keep them coming. Some of them are bound to stick to us, too.
It almost reminds me of that show on HGTV... but not quite. I forget what that show is called.
Natalie: I think it's #47, not sure cuz I wasn't even aware I was avoiding until you pointed it out ;-) Thanks
Jeff: Everybody knows what I listen to, they just never heard of most of it.
M+: BINGO
Si: Please don't refer to my ass by that other word, it has FAT connotations for me and, although it does represent aboot 40% of my body weight, it's not that big.
And yeah, I know you'll ride my, I mean, me until it's done...
Mogger: I decided to post my favorite cds after all, later. I think you'll know way more of them than the singles.
Mark: Albert is my hero and I have to keep him preserved. ;-) Nah, he's in a bag cause I didn't want to put a push pin through the pic... Little known factoid: I was born on his birthday :-) That's why I'm so smart and have bad hair.
F'nor: Don't watch but I wonder if you mean Trading Spaces or something like that maybe? I'm glad you took time out of your busy schedule to stop in ;-) Slacker. :-Þ
I think the show is Clean Sweep, but honestly I think the room is organized chaos......
Mr. Fab: I see you are a bit of a smart ass. You'll fit in nicely here. You can sit on the computer.
;-)
Hazel: Thank you very much for sharing. I should never volunteer information aboot things I know nothing aboot.
cool room looks comfy
I just started a new painting.... gosh, it's been a long time since being inspired. I wish I had a studio to call my own - for painting and such. I love all the clutter... sometimes it can make you feel nice and comfy! :)
TC: Comfy? Hmmm. First time anyone said that. :-) I dare you to go in there and relax!
Si: You need not resort to flattery to supplement your powers of persuasion. Besides- you only saw the front (if I recall) so you can hardly be a fair judge. :-Þ
Tooners: There's that word again "comfy". That room is where I am the most comfortable but I can't imagine anyone else feeling that way in the midst of all my stuff... Enjoy painting :-)
looks like it would be easy to hide in
TC: Hiding would be a problem because every inch of space has something occupying it. There's a path to the attic door and that's about it... The easiest thing to do in there is to lose something.
I like your space. When I say it looks comfy, I think it makes me feel at ease, somehow. I guess having all your stuff in one place and knowing it's your place, makes it all okay. I'm a very organized person, but to me, when I look at that, it looks uncluttered... everything looks organized on the walls and such, even tho there's a lot there. :)
